Vakil Mosque

In the west of Vakil bazar there is a vast and beautiful mosque called Soltani Vakil Mosque or Vakil Mosque. Its construction date is 1765 A.D. as the same as Vakil bazar and the square during Zandiyeh era. The total area of Vakil mosque is 8660 square meters. It was built in the order of Karim Khan with two porch design and it has eastward and southward prayers halls.

For alignment of Qebla with the direction of mosque, architects embedded the corridors.

The south prayers hall with 48 monolith and spiral columns has the characteristic of Iranian architecture.

In the north of Vakil mosque there is a high-rise vault, noun as Taq-e-Morvarid (pearl vault). Around Morvarid vault one of the verses of Qoran is written with Sols calligraphy.
