Golestan Palace Complex(Iran-Tehran)
Golestan Palace Complex, the memento of the historical citadel (Arg) of Tehran, dates back to Shah Abbas the first. After the construction of the main court, during the rule of Karim Khan Zand, this complex confronted many critical changes. But the citadel got its main importance in the time of Mohammad Khan with his coronation and after him Fath-Ali Shah and Naser-o-din Shah coronation ceremony, so it became residence of the kings of Qajar dynasty. In this palace important historical events has taken place such as: Constitutional Revolution (Mashrouteh) and coronation of the first and second Pahlavi.
Golestan Palace consists of different parts: Salam Hall, Talar-e Ayeneh(Mirror Hall), Eyvan Takht-e Marmar(Marble Throne Veranda), Khalvate Karim Khani (Kharim Khani Private place) , Chador Khaneh (Tent House Hall), Talar-e Sofreh Khaneh (Dining Hall), Brilliant Hall, Emarat-e Badgir (Edifice of windward ), Talar-e Almas (Diamond Hall), Emarate Khabgah(Dormitory building), Shamsol- Emareh Palace ( Edifice of the Sun) and Abiz Palace ( White Palace).
