Ministry of Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran has decided on changing the rates of Tourist sites entrance fees in Iran.
This decision is due to the huge rise of foreign currency’s rate such as US dollar and Euro in comparison to Rials (Iran currency) since 2018 and consequently the high inflation in Iran which causes the costs for preserving the museums, monuments, and historical sites to increase dramatically.
They categories the sites in three classes and Depending on it, entrance fee can vary from 200.000 to 500.000 Rials means around 2 to 5 US $.
